She Knows When to Speak Meets Miss Cranky Pants

Two versions. Both exhausting. Sound familiar?

Here is what’s interesting about the Cranky Pants energy of She Knows When to Speak. Most energy patterns have one primary way they go sideways. This one has two. They look like opposites. But they come from exactly the same place.

Let me show you what I mean.

The first version is the pushing version. You’re in a conversation, a meeting, a group of some kind, and you feel the pressure building. The pressure to contribute. To be relevant. You don’t want to be the one sitting there with nothing to offer. So you say something. Before it is fully formed. Before it’s ready. Before the She Knows When to Speak timing has fully arrived.

And it comes out WRONG. So wrong. The words feel off. The timing feels off. The moment it leaves your mouth, you know. That is NOT what I meant to say. It sucks.

It sucks so much that you torture yourself. You spend the next hour, or the next day, replaying it. Rewriting it in your head. Thinking of exactly what you should have said and how much better it would have landed if you had just waited thirty more seconds.

That’s the pushing version of the Cranky Pants energy in She Knows When to Speak.

Now, here’s the other one.

The holding back version. You have something worth saying. You know you do. But the words won’t come. The mood isn’t right. Something feels off about the timing, and you can’t quite get yourself there. So you stay quiet. And the conversation moves on.

And later. Later, when you’re in the car or in the shower or lying in bed at the end of the day, it arrives. Like, at 3 AM.

There it IS. Fully formed. Clear as anything. Exactly what you should have said, exactly how you should have said it.

Too late.

Both versions are exhausting. And here is what they have in common. They both happen when you aren’t trusting your She Knows When to Speak energy.

The pushing version happens when you stop trusting the timing and force your way through anyway. The holding back version happens when you stop trusting yourself and wait past the moment when your voice was needed.

Almost every single time, the one doing the pushing thinks she is being bold. And the one doing the holding back thinks she is being careful. Neither one is wrong, exactly. They just lost the thread of what the She Knows When to Speak energy is about.

Trust. In the timing. In yourself. In the fact that you will know when it is right.

In our next chat, we’ll talk about what the She Knows When to Speak energy looks like in everyday life when it’s working exactly the way it should. And that version is worth the wait.

I wouldn’t miss it. I hope you don’t!

Find your happy. Love what you do. Make a difference. Come back to me safely. See ya!
